A clear account of how Ariakon's website, store, and Break Meter app handle information.

01 / Scope

Who and what this policy covers

This Privacy Policy explains how Ariakon handles information through ariakon.com, its online storefront, and the Ariakon Break Meter mobile app published by THINQBOX. It also explains the choices available to you.

The app and storefront serve different purposes and handle information differently. The sections below describe each experience separately.

02 / Mobile app

Ariakon Break Meter

Break Meter version 3.0.0 is a local-first sports-training app. It uses audio analysis to help you measure and track a pool break, and processes the following information only on your device:

  • Optional local profile. You may add a name, email address, phone number, and profile photo, or continue without personal details. The app also creates a random local player identifier for its in-app player QR code.
  • Microphone and audio recordings. Recording starts only after you tap I'm Ready, while the app displays a visible Listening state, and stops automatically. Audio is used to identify cue-ball and rack impacts, display a waveform, and estimate speed. The app does not record in the background.
  • Measurements and configuration. Table, rack, cue-ball position, custom-distance, and cue settings; detected impact markers; speed estimates; confidence and validity information; waveforms; notes; and practice-history statistics are stored locally.
  • Profile photos. Photo-library access is requested only after you choose to add or change a profile photo. The selected image is not uploaded, and the app does not scan your photo library.

Version 3.0.0 does not create an online account or contain advertising, tracking, analytics, synchronization, or cloud-upload functionality. It does not sell, share, or transmit profile details, recordings, results, notes, cues, settings, or identifiers to Ariakon, THINQBOX, advertising networks, analytics providers, or other third parties. If you voluntarily email support or open this policy in a browser, your email provider, browser, and the destination website operate under their own policies.

Raw break audio remains in the app's private storage so you can review its associated result. Deleting an individual break removes that audio. Your operating system may include app data in a device backup controlled through your Apple or Google account; Ariakon and THINQBOX do not receive those backups.

03 / Website and store

Information handled on ariakon.com

We handle information on the website in these circumstances:

  • Browsing and security. Hosting and security systems may process an IP address, browser and device details, requested pages, timestamps, and diagnostic logs.
  • Cart. The storefront stores an essential cart token in your browser so items remain connected to the correct WooCommerce cart.
  • Checkout and orders. When you continue to checkout, WooCommerce and WooPayments process the contact, billing, shipping, order, and payment information needed to complete and support a purchase. The storefront does not store your full payment-card number.
  • Contact and programs. If you email us about support, an order, a dealer application, sponsorship, or an ambassador program, we receive your email address and the information you choose to provide.

We use this information to provide the site and cart, fulfill and support orders, answer requests, prevent abuse, maintain security, and comply with applicable legal and accounting obligations.

04 / Browser storage

Cookies and local storage

The storefront uses browser storage that is necessary for cart continuity and site operation. The WooCommerce checkout and payment experience may use cookies or similar technologies to preserve a secure checkout session, prevent fraud, and complete a transaction. You can control browser storage through your browser settings, but blocking essential storage may prevent the cart or checkout from working.

05 / Disclosure

How information is shared

We disclose information only as needed for the following purposes:

  • Service providers. Providers supporting hosting, website security, email, WooCommerce, WooPayments, fraud prevention, fulfillment, and customer support may process website, order, or correspondence information to perform services for us. Break Meter version 3.0.0 does not transmit its local app data to these providers.
  • Legal and safety needs. We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect people or rights, investigate abuse, or secure our services.
  • Business changes. Information may transfer as part of a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of relevant assets, subject to applicable law.

We do not sell personal information.

06 / Protection

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information. Payment details are entered on the secure WooCommerce and WooPayments checkout rather than collected by this storefront. No transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.

07 / Retention

Retention and deletion

We keep information only as long as reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was handled, to provide a requested service, resolve disputes, maintain security, and meet legal, tax, accounting, or warranty obligations. Break Meter data remains on your device until you delete an individual record, use Profile → Erase all local data, or uninstall the app. Erasing all local data removes the local profile, cues, history, notes, settings, and retained break-audio archive. It is immediate and cannot be undone; it does not delete the original image from your system photo library.

Because Break Meter version 3.0.0 does not create an online account or upload app data, Ariakon and THINQBOX have no server-side Break Meter account or app-data record to delete. For website, order, or support information, email inquiry@ariakon.com with the subject “Privacy request.” We may ask you to verify the request and will delete or de-identify applicable information unless retention is required by law or for a permitted security purpose.

08 / Your choices

Access, correction, and privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or a copy of personal information. You may also withdraw a device permission in your operating-system settings and control cookies or local storage in your browser. We will not discriminate against you for making a privacy request.

09 / Children

Children's privacy

Ariakon's store and Break Meter are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from a child under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review and delete it as appropriate.

10 / Updates

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our services or legal obligations change. The date at the top identifies the latest version. Material changes will be communicated through an appropriate website or app notice when required.
